The Courier (“the app”) is published by Brass Circuit Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom (company number 17494691) (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: it collects nothing, and nothing leaves your phone.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It does not request internet access and makes no network connections.
What stays on your device
To work, the app stores the following only on your device:
- which serial you have begun and when (this decides when each weekly issue unlocks);
- your reading position in each issue;
- your settings (day or night theme, vibration).
We never receive this information and cannot see it.
Notifications
If you allow it, the app schedules a local notification when the next weekly issue becomes available. These notifications are generated on your device; no notification service or server is involved. You can turn them off at any time in your phone’s system settings.
Backups
Android may back up app data to your Google account if you have device backup turned on. That is a feature of your device and your Google account, governed by Google’s privacy policy. We do not receive or have access to those backups.
Third parties and children
The app shares no data with third parties because it holds none. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes (for example, if a future version adds an optional online feature), we will update this page and the date above, and the app store listing will reflect the change.
